Comments: Our client, Burnett Media Group needed a way to:

  • Display Big Town Hero's "Hero of the Month" campaign
  • Introduce their "Hero Eclub"
  • A location restaurant finder where a website visitor could type in their address or zip code and find the Big Town Hero nearest them
  • Add "Facebook" link for "Like" Big Town Hero
  • Keep the same "look and feel" as their main site
  • Redirct website traffic to go straight to the splash page, instead of their default web page
All of this had to be just a splash page, as Burnett Media Group and VORTO were not allowed to touch Big Town Hero's main website. A challenge to say the least. We decided to install a Joomla CMS in front of the Big Town Hero main site, leaving a obvious link to continue to the main Big Town Hero site. That way, we could have multiple pages within the "splash" page, and still satisfy Big Town Hero's stipulation that we could only have a splash page. The "Restaurant Finder" was a bit of a challenge, but we liked our final results. Both our client, Burnett Media Group, and Hero Systems were thrilled with the results.
