Comments: We were our own customer on this project. When we were doing Dental Professionals' website, they asked if we could put their dental forms online, where they could be completed and submitted by patients. Their big caveat was the web forms had to match EXACTLY their in office forms, so their dentists could find the information quickly when they were with a patient.

We decided the only option so that they would match exactly was using Adobe Acrobat and Adobe reader. For the forms to be HIPAA compliant, they had to be sent and retrieved through a Secure Server. The thing was Acrobat is NOT readily available to work outside of Adobe's framework, and the forms could not just be emailed because email is unsecured. Well, a few custom scripts later we had it working.
