Dental Professionals web site
Web Site Design and Development - Client Websites
dentalprof-ssWebsite: Dental Professionals

Framework: Joomla CMS

Template: Custom by VORTO

Package: SEO Plus Website Plan

Comments:  With the site, we had several specific goals:

We also built two microsites to direct traffic to their main site: SnoozeDentist.com

When visiting the sites the first thing a visitor sees is the rotating "Showcase" area (Dental Team, Sedation, Cosmetic, Whitening, Family), followed by Dental Professionals logo, main menu navigation, testimonies, information, then the buttons on the right. Website visitor's eyes follow the same traditional "center-then-Z" pattern that they do for flyers and full page ads in magazines.

After seeing all of this, their website visitor decides where they want to click. Everything on the home page has a purpose.

  • The 'rotating showcase' contains the 5 areas of dentistry we wanted to focus on. By having it rotate, we could display all five areas, without cluttering up the home page. This also helped the SEO.
  • Main menu at the top is in a place visitors would expect to find the navigation for the site
  • Phone number is prominently displayed in the upper right corner, easy to find when visitors are ready to call
  • Short introductory video is displayed where they can't miss it.
  • Stacy's Story effectively sells both Sedation Dentistry & Cosmetic Dentistry
  • Location map so they can figure out where the office is and how easy it will be to find DP
  • Testimonies down the right-side column (big credibility boost)
  • Buttons on bottom of right column – convenience. The Patient Forms button makes it very easy for the office receptionist to direct new patients to so that they can fill out the forms before getting to the office.
  • Sedation Dentistry on the bottom left is really there strictly for SEO reasons
  • Cities in the footer are there for SEO reasons – example Search - Sedation Dentist Lake Oswego

The template design was carefully thought out. 70% of Dental Professionals calls come from women. It would be safe to assume that 70% of their website visitors are women. That is why it has a slightly feminine color choice. If we had gone strictly with their logo colors, it would have been very gaudy and amateurish looking. We also chose tan for a base color over gray, because tan is warm and gray is cold.

The content on the rest of the site supports the content on the home page. It is more information about each of the topics in the 'rotation showcase'. As people want more information about a topic, they visit that area. Each area has a call to action to make the appointment with Dental Professionals.
